Rose

   Rose was a special dog to everyone in the country. She would always play with kids. Even shop owners would give her food if she passed by head up high and her tail wagging excitedly. She was so beautiful and everyone would pat her head if she passed by. Rose was a stray so at night sometimes she would go out into the forest so she could sleep in between the bushes and leaves so she could keep warm. Sometimes she would just stare at the moon and think of how alone she was even though during the day she gets so much attention. Rose didn't want attention, she wanted affection, companionship, and love. She wanted to have a place she would know she was safe in. Not day after day trying to find food and finding a place to sleep. One day a new family moved in to the rural part of the city. The family moved into a house where Rose would go behind and look for a comfortable place to sleep. The family of three, the mom, the dad, and their son Joshua all were getting settled into their new house and putting up their things and Joshua got the back room. By the time they were done, Rose had already been to all the shop owners and was now returning to find a place to sleep. Joshua was staring out the window when he saw a beautiful dog walk by and into the trees to go to sleep. He was confused as to why the dog would go in their and sleep. The next day, Joshua went to the store with his mother and he saw the same dog from last night. He asked the store owner who's dog was it. The store owner said the dog was a stray but everyone called her Rose. Joshua went to pet the dog and Rose looked in his eyes and Joshua felt a sense of connection between them. He had to take care of this dog, Rose would no longer be a stray but a well-looked after dog. He took Rose home that night gave her food a bed and Rose was so happy because she got what she wanted.
